PREMIUMALGAE aims to develop new processes for valorising supernatants and biorefinery, resulting in innovative and unique functional ingredients that can be applied efficiently and in a sustainable manner in the nutraceutical, cosmetic and aquaculture industries. The project envisages the development of: Two new products rich in fucoxanthin (FX) or phycoerythrin (FE); Two new products rich in exopolysaccharides (EPS) or extracellular vesicles (EV). These bioactive compounds have high functional and commercial potential, promoting new value chains based on microalgae biomass and advanced biorefinery technologies.
