neuroNAMix targets the critical nexus of food contaminants (FC) and neurodegenerative diseases using New Advanced Methodologies. Based on data science and in vitro methods, neuroNAMix aims to prioritise FCs for neurotoxic potential, explore their effects on cells and barriers interconnecting the gut and brain, and test new risk assessment approaches. It aims to provide food authorities and consumers with tools for a healthy and safer tomorrow.
